This recorded webinar is designed to shed light on the disparities in perinatal mental health care affecting BIPOC communities. This webinar underscores the critical importance of routine mental health screenings during the perinatal period to ensure early detection and support. Additionally, it explores strategies for fostering healthy, trusting relationships between patients and providers through culturally competent care and open communication. By addressing these key issues, the webinar aims to educate, inspire, and empower healthcare professionals and community advocates to advance equitable perinatal mental health care.
Target Audience: Nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
Learning Outcome: After attending this program, participants will report intent to include the information presented into professional practice.
Successful Completion: To receive 0.75 nursing contact hours for viewing the recording, the registrant must log in, complete a pre-test, view the entire program, complete a post-test, and submit an evaluation. A certificate of completion will be distributed from Teachable after completion of the curriculum.
