Incorporating a Donor Milk Program into the Hospital Setting - Recorded Presentation and Q&A

Please note: This program does not offer continuing education credits

Donor milk can provide an opportunity for families to exclusively breastfeed during challenges in the first few days after the birth, but donor milk is often only available in the hospital to newborns in the NICU, if at all. It can be overwhelming for hospitals to know where and how to start a program to offer this invaluable service to new families. This virtual presentation is an opportunity to learn directly from leaders of a robust donor milk program at a New Jersey medical center and to attend a virtual "tour" of a milk bank.

Presenters:

Suzanne O'Neill, RN, IBCLC, Lactation Consultant, Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center

Susan DiRocco, BSN, RN, IBCLC, Clinical Director, Family Centered Care, Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center

Roseanne R. Motti, BA, MFA, Director of Community Relations, The New York Milk Bank, Inc.

Linda Harelick, Executive Director, The New York Milk Bank, Inc.
